Monolithic power system MP5025A protection device Monolithic Power System (MPS) MP5025A, hot-swap protection device is primarily used to protect its output circuitry from its input transients. These devices also protect the input from short circuits and transients that appear from the output. The MP5025A device features adjustable current limit, broken MOSFET detection, external soft-start, under/over voltage lockout, output current measurement, and thermal protection. These devices operate over an 8V-- 16V input voltage range, -40°C - 125°C temperature range, -65°C - 155°C storage temperature range, and 145°C shutdown temperature range. Typical applications include hot swap, PC cards, disk drives, servers, networking and notebook computers.
