Texas Instruments DRV8328 Three-Phase Gate Driver 60V is an integrated gate driver for three-phase applications. These devices provide three half-bridge gate drivers, trench power MOSFETs. The device uses an internal charge pump to generate the correct gate drive voltage and a bootstrap circuit to enhance the high-side MOSFET. A trickle charge pump is included to support 100% duty cycle. The gate drive architecture supports peak gate drive currents up to 1A source and 2A sink. Texas Instruments DRV8328 operates from a single supply and supports a wide input supply range from 4.5V to 60V.

Texas Instruments DRV8328 and DRV8328D variants integrate an accurate 3.3V LDO that can be used to power an external controller and can be used as a CSA reference. The gate driver and device configuration settings are configurable through hardware (H/W) pins.

Low-power sleep mode to achieve low quiescent current consumption by shutting down most of the internal circuitry. Internal protections are provided for undervoltage lockout, GVDD fault, MOSFET overcurrent, MOSFET short circuit, and overtemperature. A fault condition for the Texas Instruments DRV8328 is indicated on the nFAULT pin.
