Texas Instruments LMQ664x0 Synchronous Buck Converter is a 36V, 3A synchronous step-down DC/DC converter with integrated bypass and bootstrap capacitors. These devices are available in an Enhanced HotRod™ QFN package. The converter is simple to use and supports a wide input voltage range from 2.7V to 36V with transient voltages up to 42V.
The LMQ664x0 are designed to meet the low standby power requirements of always-on industrial applications. Auto mode enables frequency foldback at light loads, resulting in 1.5µA no-load current consumption at 13.5VIN and high light-load efficiency. Seamless transitions between PWM and PFM modes and very low MOSFET on-resistance enable excellent efficiency over the entire load range. The control architecture and feature set are optimized for an ultra-small solution size with minimum output capacitance. The device is packaged in a dual random spread spectrum, low EMI enhanced HotRod™ QFN package with optimized pinout to minimize input filter size. MODE/SYNC and RT pin models can be used to set or synchronize frequency to avoid noise sensitive frequency bands. There are NCs between critical high voltage pins to reduce potential failure. Texas Instruments LMQ664x0 is feature-rich and designed to simplify the implementation of a wide variety of industrial end-equipment.
