Amphenol Enhances Its Max-M12 Series Connector Product Line
Amphenol Industrial Operations has enhanced its Max-M12 product line to include X-coded, high-speed connectors supporting 10Gb/s data transmission, and S-coded for a more secure connection with First Mate Last Break. These new connectors are ideal for use in the rail and mass transit, heavy equipment vehicle, industrial automation and robotics markets.

Used in RMT door systems, cameras and communication systems, the Max-M12 can easily transmit high-speed data in environments with high vibration, humidity, salt, dirt and debris. It can also be used in off-road vehicle, rugged factory automation and robotic signaling applications.

  Max-M12 series connectors are based on IEC 61076-2-101 and SAE J2839. They are backward compatible and will mate with any standard M12 connector with the same graduation. The Max-M12 is available in a variety of different mounting options including front or rear locking/flange and wire termination styles including solder, crimp and printed circuit tails.

The Max-M12 is rated at 4A and can withstand extreme temperatures from -55˚C to 125˚C. All Max-M12 connectors are IP67 rated, making them dust and water resistant. They are resistant to high pressure washing and water immersion. To ensure high performance in harsh environments, Amphenol's electroplating solutions are designed to withstand up to 240 hours of salt spray testing.
